Mark Lesperance - Bio

Mark Lesperance, President and Owner of Lesperance Removals and Services Inc. (LRS), officially opened his doors in 1991 and became recently licensed as a transfer service operator - Class 2 in December 2017.  Although Mark has created a thriving and respected business since that time, his experience in the funeral industry dates back a decade beforehand, when he joined the team at the Walter D. Kelly Funeral Home in Windsor, Ontario.  While there, Mark learned the profession from the inside, through involvement with all facets of funeral service, always honing his skills to become a first-class funeral professional.  That experience proved to be invaluable.  When Mark ventured out on his own to create LRS, he knew virtually every aspect of the funeral business, which he now uses to anticipate, meet, and exceed his clients’ needs.

Being a native Windsorite, Mark was raised and educated in his hometown, which anchors his strong connection and commitment to the city, the surrounding areas, and to the people he serves.  That connection, together with his funeral home expertise, led Mark to a realization of the need for a professional funeral support system – and to the creation of LRS.  Now serving funeral homes throughout Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and adjacent areas, Mark divides his time between his business, his wife and fellow Windsorite, Mary Kay, and his daughter, Stephanie.

Although LRS is a full-time, 24-7 operation, Mark does find time to share in his wife’s passion for their 4 dogs Hannah, Rudy, Shirley and Susie.   Mark has also had a life-long interest in boating and fishing.  Travelling and fishing in the coastal waters of Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair with his wife Mary Kay, his friends and especially his Dad.  He Can be found in the spring and summer at most local fishing tournaments. Tournaments such as Belle River, Colchester, Leamington, Wheatley and Erieau fishing for Walleye, Salmon, Rainbow trout and Muskie.
